A sketch a Day: Switch

I never know what to do with the arms and hands...

A sketch a Day: Finished Gaia Avatars

Yeah, I haven't drawn anything in a few days. I've mostly been working on these gaia commissions and feeling a bit stressed about starting school.

I've been trying out some coloring/shading techniques on these pics, and working in greyscale was really good practice.

A sketch a Day: Another Gaia Avatar

For the same person who wanted the last two.
The next one I'm making is a big one with 17 characters. I don't think I've ever drawn a pic with that many people in it before. Wish me luck. I'll post up sketches of that once I get the character descriptions and can get started.

A sketch a Day: Gaia Avatars

The lines for another gaia commission. The top one needs some touching up before coloring, because I just found out that my cat thinks that my Chinese ink tastes good. The smudges are from his tongue as he tried licking the lines off the paper.

A sketch a Day: Hugging

Trash holding his stuffed panda.

A sketch a Day: Soy

Need more practice to get the body form to look right. But I think I'm starting to understand how legs should look. I just noticed right now that Soy has really long arms in the one to the right.

A sketch a Day: Loomis again

Yeah, I've been doing nothing but hanging some painting on the walls and studying the Loomis figure drawing book. All to get a better flow in my drawings, and learning to draw limbs properly isn't bad either.

A sketch a Day: Ahh, a fine specimen...

Another day moving new furniture into my apartment.

A sketch a Day: Amber dancing

I really want to draw more dynamic poses and such...

A sketch a Day: More Loomis

Yeah, I'm studying Loomis' "Figure drawing for what it's worth", and there will probably going to be a lot of these now. I'm sick of not being able to draw humans.

A sketch a Day: Jealousy?

Just a picture I had in my head that I needed to get out. I might finish it later.

A sketch a Day: Sketches

Sketches made in the dark while waiting for the thunder clouds to pass.

A sketch a Day: Marry me.

Just a scene from the roleplay with Jess. It was a sweet scene, really.

No picture up yesterday, we had a thunderstorm, and I was too scared to draw. Yeah, I know. Thunder scares me.

A sketch a Day: Need Color Theory

I can't seem to understand how to get the colors right when I try this... I think I tried painting that tomato at least ten times before I had to stop because the fruit was getting a bit... icky in the warm air in my computer room, and I had to get rid of them.

A sketch a Day: Turtle Crackers

I really wish I could find crackers like these. Even if they taste like cardboard, I'd get a box.

A sketch a Day: Amber

Still learning to draw people, and then it's "good-bye, stupid manga influenced style". I can't wait.

I'm tweaking the layout for the blog. The white was hurting my eyes.

... I really need to figure out why I always draw people holding their heads in such an awkward manner. I just can't seem to get away from it.

A sketch a Day: Two at once.

Didn't get to scan one picture yesterday, so I put yesterday's sketch up with the one I made today. Just sketches of Amber and Arsen.

A sketch a Day: Strong, huh?

Trash isn't really that strong. It's a magic shield that can shrink and grow to any size, but doesn't get heavier in Trash's hands. If anyone else tries to lift it, it's too heavy to carry.

A sketch a Day: Toxic

I haven't drawn a picture of Toxic in a while, and I'm starting to tweak her design a bit to try to make her look a bit more like a male, which was the initial idea for her.

Sepia-toned acrylic ink on... I have no idea what this paper would be called, to be honest.

A sketch a Day: More still life

This time in pencil. A tomato and a nectarine. I think I need to learn to blend...
